1. Using CalCal
By creating an account or using CalCal, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. You must provide accurate account information, keep your sign-in credentials secure, and use the service only as permitted by law.
2. Not medical advice
CalCal is a food-awareness and informational tool. It does not diagnose, treat, prevent, or manage any disease or medical condition. Nutritional values are estimates and may be inaccurate. Do not rely on CalCal for allergies, medication decisions, eating-disorder treatment, emergencies, or clinically prescribed nutrition. Consult a qualified professional when health decisions are involved.
3. AI-generated estimates
CalCal uses automated systems to interpret meal text and photos. Portions, ingredients, preparation methods, and branded-product information may be misunderstood. You are responsible for reviewing estimates and deciding whether they are suitable for your use.
4. Accounts and acceptable use
You may not misuse the service, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with infrastructure, automate abusive requests, upload unlawful content, impersonate others, or use CalCal to harm another person. We may limit or suspend access needed to protect users or the service.
5. Your content
You retain ownership of meal text and photos you submit. You grant CalCal a limited license to process that content only to operate, secure, and improve the features you request. You confirm that you have the right to submit the content.
6. Subscriptions
Paid subscriptions, when offered, are purchased and managed through Apple’s App Store. Pricing, billing, renewal, refunds, and cancellation are governed by the App Store and applicable law. Deleting a CalCal account does not automatically cancel an App Store subscription; subscriptions must also be cancelled in Apple Account settings.
7. Availability and changes
We may change, improve, limit, or discontinue features. We work to keep CalCal available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Features may depend on third-party cloud, AI, authentication, database, and App Store services.
8. Disclaimer and liability
To the extent permitted by law, CalCal is provided “as is” without warranties of accuracy, fitness, or uninterrupted availability. CalCal’s developer is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from use of the service. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded.
9. Ending your account
You may stop using CalCal and delete your account from the app. We may terminate accounts that materially violate these Terms, threaten the service, or must be restricted by law.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Türkiye, without limiting mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live. Disputes should first be raised through our support contact so we can try to resolve them informally.
